March 2009 - Kristen (BC '08, '10) and Stephen Padulsky '12, wearing Tim's Team shirts, are running the Boston Marathon for the first time in honor of their brother Tim who passed away from cancer and always dreamed of running it. Kristen explains, "When he was sick after his transplant but still going to classes he used to walk up the Higgins stairs. He'd of course be exhausted at the end, but he felt sort of like he had to because he didn't want to wimp out. One day he realized oh wait, half of BC takes the elevator and I'm actually sick and should take the elevator so I'll start. That story sort of is an example to me of the kind of person Tim was: always pushing himself to do as much or more than he should and never ever ever using his illness as an excuse to get a bad grade or do anything half way. "
